Stories Worth Knowing

The WOMEN.

In Conversation with Dom. Downing

Accomplished women tell the truth about what happened when their expertise became a business.

Why These Conversations

Nobody teaches you what happens after your expertise becomes a business.

You spend years learning your profession, building your reputation and becoming exceptional at the work. Then clients come. Revenue grows. People get hired. Decisions multiply. And suddenly, you’re not only responsible for the work anymore. You’re responsible for a company.

The WOMEN. is a conversation series about that transition.

Dom. Downing sits down with accomplished women across industries to talk about what they built, what they weren’t prepared for, what got harder as they grew, what they had to learn about business and leadership, and what they know now that they wish they’d known then.

Not polished founder stories. The real story behind the business.

Six women. Different professions, different stages, different business realities. One shared experience: they became experts first, then had to become owners.

There may be a conversation in what you built.

Guests are women with demonstrated expertise who turned that expertise into a business and have an honest ownership story to tell. There is no public revenue minimum and no required stage.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. That may be part of the story.

Conversations are recorded on video, roughly 45–60 minutes, and may be edited into a full feature and short clips. See what to expect.
