Who we are

This website and the Dom Downing practice — including the YoU.nified Business Method™ advisory methodology — are operated by The Best YoU.niversity LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us — name, email, business details, and anything you share through the Business Second Look form, the Business Clarity Assessment, intake and contact forms, the chat feature, the client portal, or direct correspondence.
Account information — if you create a portal account, we store your login email and authentication metadata.
Usage and device data — pages viewed, referring site, campaign tags (UTM parameters) from the link you arrived on, device type, and an anonymous per-visit identifier.
Form interaction data — on the Business Second Look form we record which fields are focused, filled, or abandoned, and whether a submission fails. We record field names and interaction types only — never the text you type.

Analytics and advertising technologies

With your consent where required, we use:

Google Analytics 4 — to understand how visitors use the site. IP addresses are anonymized.
Meta Pixel — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to build audiences for future ads. This sends information about your visit (such as pages viewed and actions taken) to Meta. We do not send your name or email to Meta through the pixel.
First-party visit tracking — our own anonymous record of page views and form steps, stored on our servers, used to understand where visitors drop off.

Where required by law (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), these technologies do not run until you accept them. Elsewhere they run by default, and you can turn them off at any time — see "Your privacy choices" below.

Cookies and browser storage

We and our providers use cookies and browser storage for security, sign-in sessions, remembering your privacy choices, analytics, and advertising measurement. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

How we use information

To respond to inquiries and deliver the services you've engaged us for.
To operate and improve the website and client portal.
To measure and improve our advertising.
To send service-related communications (no marketing emails without consent).
To meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

Chat feature

Our website chat is powered by an AI service. Messages you send are processed to generate replies and may be reviewed to improve responses. If you choose to leave your contact details in the chat, we store them with the conversation so we can follow up. Please don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers we use to run the business — hosting and database (Lovable Cloud), website analytics (Google), advertising measurement (Meta), scheduling (TidyCal), payment processing (Stripe), and email delivery — each under their own privacy terms.

Some U.S. state laws treat sharing browsing data with advertising partners like Meta as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising," even though no money changes hands. You can opt out of this at any time using in the footer, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out.

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide services, meet our legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Your privacy choices

Opt out of analytics and advertising — use in the footer, or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. Your choice is remembered on this browser.
Access, correct, or delete — email hello@domdowning.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
State rights — depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, or Oregon), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. Contact us to exercise them; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
